How to print several pictures on one page

1. Add your pictures. Choose multiple JPG/JPEG, PNG, or still WebP files, or drop them onto the paper preview. Pictures start in selection order.
2. Choose the paper. Match the sheet you will put in the printer: Letter, A4, or a photo-paper size. Set portrait or landscape, margins, and gaps.
3. Arrange and check the photos. Select a layout, reorder thumbnails, and rotate or crop individual pictures. Check the selected and smallest printed-photo dimensions above the preview.
4. Download the PDF. Use 300 DPI when the memory check allows it. If needed, choose the explicit 150 DPI lower-memory option or a smaller page.
5. Print at the intended size. Open the PDF, select matching paper, and choose 100% / Actual Size. Check your printer's printable margins before a full run.

Choose a layout for your pictures

Fill the slots you choose

Fixed templates show every slot before upload. Click, tap or keyboard-activate an empty slot to add there; multiple files fill that slot and later empty positions in reading order. Add photos starts at the first empty slot. Removing a photo leaves a hole. Empty slots are not photos, use none of the photo allowance, and their dashed guides, numbers and buttons never print.

The tray follows occupied slot order. Move earlier/later and drag-to-reorder move photos among occupied positions, preserving holes. Swap exchanges two positions. Replace selected photo keeps its slot or frame, resets its crop and picture rotation, and can be undone. Selecting another template rearranges photos in order.

With Photos per page enabled, editing Rows or Columns redistributes logical positions under the smaller of the chosen per-page limit and grid capacity. It preserves photo order, edits, logical holes and whole blank pages. A valid draft previews the complete arrangement; Escape restores it and Enter or blur commits one Undo step. Older saved layouts with blocks outside their per-page policy open with a repair notice, retaining every photo and existing blank pages. Review that arrangement before printing.

Keep whole photos preserves every edge. Fill template blocks crops edges to cover each frame. Apply to this page or all photos; applying also sets the default for later additions. The current-page summary reports Mixed separately from your pending fitting choice. That choice survives margin, paper and selection changes on the same page; changing pages resets it to the new-photo default. Photos change only when you apply. Balanced frames already match source proportions, so Fill can have no effect at crop zoom 1. It does not stretch a photo or promise to fill the page.

Print photos without cropping—or fill the frame

Show whole photo is the default. It keeps every edge and preserves proportions, so a wide photo in a square frame leaves unused space. Fill frame covers the frame and crops the excess. Use the crop position and zoom controls to choose what stays visible. Neither setting stretches the picture.

Paper size is different from photo size

Letter is 8.5 × 11 inches; A4 is 210 × 297 mm. Choosing 4 × 6 paper sets the entire page, not the size of every photo on it. The tool also offers 5 × 7 and 8 × 10 photo paper, Legal, and A3. More pictures, larger margins, or wider gaps leave less room for each photo.

In Free arrange, Frame width and Frame height describe the container. Check Printed photo size beside them: an 800 × 1200 whole photo in a 100.1 × 86.9 mm frame prints at about 57.93 × 86.9 mm. Widening only its frame may not enlarge it. Bigger/Smaller proportionally scales the frame about its center; crop zoom is separate.

Valid numeric values preview while you type. Enter or leaving the field commits one edit; Escape restores the prior value. Blank, partial or invalid text is flagged beside the field and is never silently converted to zero. Save and Download settle valid pending edits and ask you to correct invalid ones. On narrow screens, Show preview brings the paper into view.

Paper and margin changes keep manual frame sizes. Scale arrangement to fit page enlarges or shrinks the composition uniformly using its rotated bounds, preserving relative positions and centering unused space. The dashed margin guide does not print and is a layout target, not a measured printer safe area.

Keep one sheet or spread pictures across pages

All photos on one page is the default. A fixed template keeps the first page visible when it fills; extra photos wait visibly in the tray. Choose Add another page or Photos per page to place them. With a six-slot template, thirteen photos at six per page make six, six, and one, with identical cell sizes and five empty slots on the last page. No photo is repeated automatically. Changing Photos per page redistributes photos; adding a page keeps existing slot assignments.

If photos will print small, the editor shows their actual dimensions and offers an optional way to spread automatic layouts across more pages. Dense sheets are allowed. Free arrange has explicit page controls and Move to page for each photo.

Photo printing questions

Which image formats can I add?

JPG/JPEG, PNG, and still WebP. This collage tool does not import HEIC/HEIF, SVG, animated images, or existing PDFs. Convert unsupported files to an accepted image format first. Transparent areas print on a white page.

What happens to large camera photos?

Automatically optimize large photos is on by default. Eligible JPEGs get a proportional working copy without cropping or upscaling; for example, 8000 × 6000 becomes 4000 × 3000. Smaller photos stay unchanged. Original files on your device never change. Optimization normalizes orientation and supported RGB color profiles, then uses one high-quality JPEG encoding. This is lossy resizing for raster printing, not HDR or gain-map preservation. Very large files or progressive images can still exceed the bounded decoder or device-memory limit.

The import summary separates selected, imported, placed, unplaced and failed counts. Persistent failures show the filename, known dimensions, reason and destination. Retry / reselect handles one file; Retry failed photos… shows a batch mapping for confirmation. Add photos offers a retry-or-add-new choice while failures remain. Filenames can repeat and do not identify a target. Failed replacements preserve the original photo and reserve no new block. Layout, order or history changes may require choosing destinations again. Skip releases a reserved block; select an imported unplaced photo and click an available block to place it without re-importing. Unplaced photos prevent download until placed or removed. Failed files are released; New/Open clears their session notices. Saved projects and recovery use working copies without repeated re-encoding.

If an earlier batch accepted no photos, adding a later batch can require you to choose the earlier retries' positions. Files beyond available placement or template-slot limits fail individually; eligible earlier files remain imported. The incoming batch-byte limit still applies to the whole selection. Importing never enables pagination automatically.

How do I fill the page?

Choose Near edge-to-edge (crop to fit) for fixed blocks with 3 mm margins, 2 mm gaps and no borders, or Borderless PDF (crop to fit) for zero margins and gaps. Both apply Fill and may crop edges; Keep whole photos remains available. Six-photo layouts offer tall and wide grids. Applying a preset rearranges Free arrange, preserves paper size and crop positions, and is one Undo step. Reset crops on this page is separate. Physical borderless printing depends on printer, paper and driver support; the driver may enlarge or crop the page.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Photo content, filenames, and photo metadata are not uploaded for conversion or analytics. Editing and PDF creation happen in your browser. Normal website delivery still makes network requests. See the privacy policy.

Can I save a collage and edit it later?

Choose Save project to download a portable .mmscollage file containing the arrangement and the images used by the collage, which may be optimized copies. Use Open project to return to it. Browser recovery is best effort, not cloud storage or cross-device synchronization. Treat your saved project as a personal file because it contains your pictures.

Recovery saves committed edits, including completed drags; cancelled drags are excluded. When a previous collage is found, settings changes keep that copy safe. Dismiss only hides the notice and leaves recovery saving paused; reopen it with Previous collage. Restore it, choose Use this collage instead, start a new collage with the replacement button, or successfully open a saved project to resume recovery saving.

Why do deleted photos still use space?

Their sources may be retained for Undo. Free space used by deleted photos shows the source count and photo-data size that can be reclaimed. It clears undo and redo history while keeping your current arrangement. Photos still used by a placed copy or active PDF export remain protected.

How many photos can I use?

The technical ceiling is 100 source photos and 100 placed copies, subject to 25 MiB per image, 150 MiB per import batch and retained source set, and 16,384 pixels per source edge. Eligible 8-bit baseline/progressive JPEGs up to 52 megapixels can be optimized to at most 12 megapixels / 4,096 pixels per edge. Unoptimized imports retain the limit of 30 megapixels per decoded image. PNG and still WebP are not automatically resized. Sources retained for Undo count too. Large files and device-memory limits can reduce practical capacity well before 100. There is no separate 12- or 25-photo limit per page.

Does 300 DPI guarantee sharp prints?

No. Final detail depends on the source, crop, and printed size. A 300 DPI export cannot restore missing detail. The tool warns about low resolution and checks estimated memory before export; missing browser memory information uses a conservative budget. Choose 150 DPI explicitly, smaller paper, or fewer pages if needed. Resolution is never silently reduced.

Why did pictures print too small or get cut off?

First compare the displayed photo dimensions with what you wanted. Then check the PDF's page size, the printer's paper setting, and 100% / Actual Size. Fit-to-page printing can change physical sizes. Fill frame deliberately crops; Show whole photo preserves the image. Printer margins can clip a borderless layout, and zero margins need a printer and paper that support borderless output.

Can I add captions or filename labels?

This tool makes visual photo layouts without caption layers or filename labels. It does not merge PDFs, validate passport photos, or order prints. For text labels, Avery-compatible templates, shapes, and transparent PNG export, use the separate sticker and label maker. Full offline operation is not guaranteed.
