What size is Avery 5395?

Avery 5395 is a 2 1/3" x 3 3/8" name badge layout with 8 badges per US Letter sheet, arranged 2 columns by 4 rows. The badges are self-adhesive with rounded corners and a flexible facestock made to stick to clothing.

What are Avery 5395 badges used for?

Conferences, meetups, classrooms, reunions, volunteer events, and open houses - anywhere people need a peel-and-stick name badge. One sheet covers eight guests, and a CSV import covers the whole list.

Do they stick to clothes without ruining them?

Yes. 5395 uses a flexible facestock with an adhesive made for fabric: it stays on jackets and shirts through an event and peels away cleanly. If your event uses clip or lanyard holders instead, print insert cards on Avery 5390 or 5392.

Can I import attendee names from CSV?

Yes. Paste names one per line - each line becomes one badge - or use Import CSV to turn each row into a badge, which is handy when the guest list already lives in a spreadsheet.

Can I add a photo or logo to each badge?

Yes. Use Image+Text mode to pair a logo or photo with every name - the sidebar even has an Avery 5395 photo + name preset. Captions pair with images line by line.

Can I repeat one badge 8 times?

Yes. Type one badge and use Tile / repeat, or edit one cell and choose Duplicate this cell to all cells.

How do I print accurately?

Set browser print scale to 100%, disable headers and footers, and test on plain paper before loading badge sheets.

Can I print only part of a sheet?

Yes. Use per-cell editing to blank out already-used positions before printing a partial sheet.

What font works best on a name badge?

Set the name large and bold - a badge is read at handshake distance, a few feet away. A clear sans-serif works best, and Auto-fit keeps long names from clipping while shorter names fill the badge.

Is anything uploaded?

No. Names, text, and CSV content stay in the browser. The page is static and does not store badge data.

Where exactly do the badges sit on an Avery 5395 sheet?

The first badge starts 0.6875" from the left edge and 0.5833" from the top. Columns repeat every 3.75" with a 3/8" gutter, and rows repeat every 2.5" with a 1/6" gap between rows. This page reproduces those exact coordinates instead of dividing the sheet evenly, which is what keeps the last row from drifting off its die-cut.

What if my printer prints slightly off-center?

Most printers feed paper a fraction of a millimeter off, and on badge stock that shows. Use the Printer alignment panel to print a test sheet, hold it against a badge sheet in front of a light, and nudge the layout in 0.25mm steps. The setting is saved for next time.

Laser or inkjet for 5395 sheets?

5395 is the laser-rated catalog number and 8395 is the same 8-up die-cut rated for inkjet. Match the box to your printer and run a plain-paper test before printing the batch.

How is this different from the Name Tag Maker page?

Same engine and the same exact 5395 geometry. The Name Tag Maker is the general-purpose event page; this page is the direct Avery 5395 template with the badge specs spelled out.

Why does my sheet print crooked?

Usually feeding, not software. Feed badge sheets one at a time from the manual or bypass tray if you have one, never run a sheet through twice, and store unused sheets flat in the packaging - humidity curls label stock, and a curled sheet feeds crooked.

Do I need Word or the Avery software?

No. This template runs entirely in the browser - nothing to install, no account, no plug-in. It replaces the Word template workflow: the 5395 grid is already measured and locked, you just add names and print. It works the same on Windows, Mac, Chromebooks, and Linux.

Can I save my layout and come back later?

Yes. Use Save to store the layout in your browser and Load to bring it back, or click Share this tool to copy a link that encodes your current layout. Returning visitors are also offered a restore of their last session automatically.

Is this really free?

Yes - no watermark, no trial, no signup. The site is supported by optional affiliate links to printing supplies, so the template tool itself stays free.
